"... thy children like olive plants round about thy table..." Psa 128: 3

By the grace of God, i now have two nephews (yes i know it's old news!) :) the story of how little Elliot entered this world is a testimony of God's providence and goodness, and with great joy, we welcomed him  :)

my sis had asked me to help her out with the full month favours, and since he entered this world earlier than expected, that meant his 1st month would come early too.

PP and i immediately sprang into action and started brainstorming. what would be meaningful, yet presentable and practical? God led us to Psalm 128...

Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.

For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.

 Psa 128: 1-4

as christian parents, we fully understand the desire for our children to know God and fear Him. (v1) olive plants have multiple uses - for cooking, cleansing, fragrance, as ointment etc....  and we definitely pray that one day, Elliot (and Z and Ezra) will be such a blessing to those around him too.

we scoured the internet, distributors and supermarkets, looking high and low for small bottles of olive oil. little did i know it would be an uphill task. at the end of the day, GOD PROVIDED, in a most amazing way. this is a story to be remembered and shared within our family.. :)

here's the working process...

thank God for the silhouette, which was really handy in cutting out these labels :) the design was adapted from here

printed some labels... DSCF5265 copy

and after lots and lots of stamping, cutting, pasting and tying, 150 bottles of olive oil have been completed, entirely by God's grace! phew..... here's the outcome :)

The name "Elliot" means Jehovah is my God. How we pray that little Elliot (actually not so little anymore!) will grow to acknowledge God as His LORD and fear Him the rest of His days.

the bottles serve as a reminder that our God can provide for all our needs, be it timings, finance and physical ability to do the job. indeed it is only by God's grace that we can take on such endeavours. thank God for the privilege to go through this with my family.
